The problem they arrived with
Lusail Shuttle runs forty minibuses between the metro stations and the residential towers. Passenger complaints about driving were rising, the insurer had raised the premium twice, and the operator could not say which drivers were involved because the drivers rotated between vehicles by the shift.
What was installed
- Driver Safety on all forty vehicles: driver ID fobs with ignition interlock, harsh-event scoring, road-speed limits, panic buttons.
- Fleet Control for the two dispatch supervisors.
- A weekly scorecard per driver, shared with the driver.
What happened
The first fortnight’s scorecards showed that seven of fifty-one drivers accounted for more than half of all harsh-braking events. Two were retrained; one left. The remaining four improved once the score was a number they saw every Monday rather than a complaint they heard about a month later.
63% fewer harsh-braking events per hundred kilometres, week one to week ten
The insurer accepted the platform’s driver scorecards and trip records at renewal and held the premium flat.
Before, a complaint was a story. Now it is a trip on a map with a name on it.

What they use now
Driver Safety, Fleet Control and Fleet Care. The weekly scorecard is now part of the drivers’ pay review.
