These terms govern the use of the QatarWheels Fleet Management System ("FMS"), the tracking devices we install, and the monitoring services we provide. By ordering a device or signing in to the platform you agree to them on behalf of yourself or the organisation you represent.
The service
QatarWheels supplies and installs GPS tracking devices and sensors, operates the platform that receives their data, and provides the web console, mobile application and operations desk through which that data is presented and acted on. The service is provided from Qatar and is designed for vehicles operating in Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
Your account
- You are responsible for the people you add to your account and for what they do with it. Remove a login the day the person leaves.
- Keep your passphrase for the operations desk confidential. Any instruction given with it is treated as yours.
- Tell us within one working day if you believe an account has been compromised.
Devices
Devices remain the property of QatarWheels while a subscription is active and become yours after twenty-four months of continuous service, unless your contract says otherwise. You agree not to remove, relocate or open a device except through us. A device damaged by tampering is chargeable at the replacement price on your contract.
Immobilisation
Where an immobiliser is fitted it prevents the next engine start; it never stops a running engine. Immobilisation commands are logged with the user, time and reason. You are responsible for ensuring anyone you authorise to send one understands what it does, and for the lawful use of the feature.
Fees and term
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance, per vehicle, at the rate on your order.
- An unpaid invoice thirty days past due suspends the console; sixty days past due suspends the service. Data is retained through suspension.
- Either party may end the agreement with thirty days’ written notice after the minimum term on the order.
Availability
We aim for the platform to be available 99.9% of each calendar month, measured at our edge, excluding maintenance announced two days ahead. Position data depends on GNSS and mobile network coverage, which we do not control; a vehicle outside coverage is reported when it returns.
Liability
The service assists in monitoring and recovering vehicles; it does not guarantee that a theft will be prevented or a vehicle recovered. Our total liability under this agreement in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the laws of the State of Qatar.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar and disputes are subject to the courts of Doha.
